FITV , does obd1 ECU look for it?
Hello. Maybe you guys can help me out here. I am running an obd2 b18b with obd2 TB(no FITV, just IAC). However, when i swapped in an obd1 ECU using a conversion harness i am getting a surging idle from 1k-1.5k. Does the obd1 ECU looks for a FITV? if so, is there anyway to bypass it or get my idle back to normal. Or am i going to have to get an obd1 TB?
thanks!
thanks!

Which OBD1 ECU did you plug in?</TD></TR></TABLE>
so how can u compensate cold starts on an obd2 motor (no fitv) and obd1 ecu ( no cold start / iacv control)

OBD2 motors use an IACV for idle control....that's it.
As for OBDI, if you disable the FITV by screwing the ring up, your cold idle will suffer some but it still uses an IACV for idle control.
