Oil and RPM...?
I am building my head with complete skunk 2 valvetrain with stage two cams and im using stock retainers... i was wondering as to what oil should i run with it and for the break in process? and i heard you are supposed to keep RPM's up for like 30min so cams can be broken in.
Actually my buddy just got a gsr today and he was wondering as to what oil he should run with just the minor mods (intake exhaust header fuel pump rail and regulator) I was thinking of synthetic but i have heard things so i didnt know exactly what to tell him...
Dino oil for break in, Synthetic oil when its broken in. Synthetic oil reduces internal engine friction, and it transfers heat better. There are plenty of oil threads and break in threads, i'm sure if you do a search you'll find a lot of useful information.

Most guys run the engine at 2500 RPM for 15 mins to seat a cam in.
I would think there be a paper with those Skunk2's that would give a recommendation.

reconsider the retainers, those are really critical. more so than upgrading valves. honda's factory valves are stainless steel to begin with but the retainers are susceptable to breaking when hps are increased 50-100 hp. if one breaks, it'll drop your valve into the comb. chamber and your motor is done for.
