open your hatch and check to see if its loose.... maybe you need to tighten it

Loosen big azz phillips screws and move the chrome latch hook around until it closes tight. If that doesn't work take the shim(s) out from underneath it.

If nothing else works, stuff one sock on each side. Not to far down though. Have it stop where the rubber bumber part is on the hatch. The hatch will probably not close. Good luck

if it's a crx hatch, put some black tape on the latch.

NO, did you tighten the strut bolts to torque?
Just remove the shim from under the striker.
It's NOT hard to do, and it looks better than those ghetto methods.

I've never known a CRX owner who's hatch didn't rattle.

Mine only rattles when it's cold.

Try adjusting the little rubber bumpers on the inside edge of each side of the hatch.
Turn them in or out as need to get rid of the rattle.
Open the hatch, lift it all the way. look along the inner surface you'll see one rubber bumper on each side.

I don't think it makes a difference with a swap or not, it's just one of those CRX flaws that everyone deals with.

I have a swap but it happened all the time before i did that.
