Default difference between 90-91 and 92-93 Ys1 cable tranny's????

I currently have a 92LS tranny and a YS1 tranny that i dont know the year its from. they both have problems and cannot be driven with. I am trying to figure out if the gears from a hydraulic tranny will fit on the shafts and work inside of the cable tranny. I've heard in the past that they will work in 92up tranny's. Anyone know if this statement is true?????

I don't think they will, the 90-93 trans are all cable (albeit the 90-91 and 92-93are different)
