ecu year?

i got a pg7 ecu from a friend and i am trying to sell it but i dont no if it is from a 87 or 88 it has a 87.5.09 and some jap writing on the side does that mean its a 87 or 88

well it says 87 on it...my 90 ecu says 90.05.01 (or somethin) on it, so I would guess thats the manufacture date
