Buy me a CnC machine and I will send you a free set
My friend does have a CnC machine, but they are freaking hard to design right.

I actually was researching this topic sometime ago when in the midst of building a Turbo H22 racecar. I was troubled by the lack of strong reliable H22 gearsets and did some research. Basically what I found was a small number of companies willing to make the gearset (this was before CTC and Saenz). The lowest price I found was around $4,000AUS. I have personally never used a CNC machine or even designed something of this type, so i'm not an expert. SO I have to rely on others. You have to admit though, $6,000AUS is a hell of a lot better than say $20,000 for the XTRAC right?

Yeah, but you can put a lower Final drive and almost do the same thing (within reason). The cost is too much for the end result. I mean $6,000 is not cheap. I do not care what car you have. A B-series adapter plate is not that hard to make. It boils down to supply and demand. IF they are the only ones on the market, they can set the price and if you want them, you have to spent the $$.

I completely agree
The prices are completely bogus for these gearsets and with the B/H series adapter plates the options for the H are now wide open.
My whole thing is this... I want something that will handle the HP/TQ on the street and at the track, the only real option is a gearset (CTC or Pfitzner). Unless you have another option? Remember this, we were aiming at 700whp (options were limited) and we wanted something that would hold up round after round. Suggestions please

Torque breaks drivetrain parts, not HP.
Torque is the turning force
HP is torque over time.

It matters your budget. IF you have the budget to get the Gears, go for it. The only problem with B-series transmission on H-series motor is that you have to space the flywheel (to make up the thinkness of the adaptor). You have to get a stong enough spacer and bolt to hold the force that you are going to apply to it (the torque of the motor and the clamping force of the bolts).
I hope that helped
