Default master window switch removal

Is it nessary to remove the door panel to remove the master window switch? I tried to remove the one screw in the arm rest but the switch didn't want to come out.

if you cant get it out, you might as well take the door panel off. its not tough at all and it will give you a different perspective on your problem, should help you to figure it out.

What year is it? For the 98-02 you shouldn't need to, just slide it back
