Muffler help!
I have a 99 civic rear muffler lying around my garage and I was wondering if I can trow it in my wife's 97 dr integ? her muffler is a goner and i just wanna save some money and weld that sucker on there and im thinking that the stock mufflers are all the same excluding the GRS & ITR? Thanks in advance
I work at midas and we do alot of cat-backs on hondas. When we put on new stock mufflers the part numbers for the mefflers are the same. I think the only difference would be where the hangers are or maybe the diameter of the pipe. If you're going to have an old one welded on it shouldn't be hard if you have to expand the inlet of the muffler. I'm pretty sure anyone that can weld on a muffler will probably have a pipe expander. Good luck.
The stock mufflers are a bit different, if I remember correctly.
Instead of doing any welding, why don't you just bolt it on right at the axleback part of it. Should be a direct bolt on. Just note that the hangars *might* be in different locations between a Civic and an Integra.
Again....is your Integra a 2 door or 4 door? You had a typo in your post and it was left out. The 4door one is slightly different in the axleback portion (the piping) and you will have to resort to welding the canister section on.

Oops. my bad. its a 4 door. I will have to weld it on because the car used to have a HKS super dragger off a 2 door and was a little short so i had to extend the pipe. So i just repiped from the cat.
