ok, so im about to change out my cam seal and i have all the new gaskets and some gasketmaker (i would have hondabond but the dealer didnt have any!). my question is about which points of the valve cover should i apply some gasket maker, i was thinkin its the just the corners and cam cup edges (as u can see in my pic), is that the only place i really need it, how much do i need to put on? also since i will be changine my cam seal how should i apply it to the cam seal (STR), on top of the O-rings or what? also i need to apply some between the cam holder and the head correct? just trying to get this all straitened out before i go ahead and do it. so any help will be very helpful. thanks!
just for info. purposes i've taken of the valve cover off 30+ times and i'm still using the same gasket and never added any hondabond to it. no leaks

oh yea, do i need to apply any gasket maker between the gasket and the valve cover, or just between the gasket and the head???
when i do them i put it at all the circles you have and on the cam seal i just rub some all around the seal and drop it in. I never had any leaks yet.

thanks itr. i knew some people did all those spots and the cam seal. that is probably what i will do. just spent an hour cleaning my engine block in preporation for the cam seal and valve cover swap so it looks all nice and pretty after i do it. oh and just for fun, here is the new valve cover i will be putting on.

Just to let you know, Permatex Ultra Grey is the same thing as Hondabond. I put it on all the circled parts, as well as the cam holder.

Anyone else reuse the valve cover gasket? I might as well reuse mine. I replaced it 15k ago, and need to do a valve adjustment. Tia
wow that is one gorgeous ******* valve cover..
the vc gasket should be replaced about every 30k miles but only if you take off the vc, otherwise it shouldnt' have any problems
