yes, i currently are thinking if i should get these 18" Advantage rims for ONLY $1000 Canadian Dollars for the whole set @@....but im afraid that they will be damaged since i will want to be racing in them sometimes...so..should i get the 18" rims or wait and find some 17" rims..?post what u think i should do..thx!!

 

i think that 18's look good on 5G preludes, but if you are serious about racing you're going to have to get some 16's or some lightweight 17s or 18s. If you have money get some volk, racing hart, advan, etc. rims. Cheap rims tend to be really heavy(rota and kosei are the only exceptions I can think of right now.)

 

k thx laughin, hmm....i have seen some bbs, enkei, konig rims....are those good for looks/racing for 17" ???

i want to show / drag...daz what i want...but mostly show..since where i live not many ppl have good cars to race with me..LOL...like around 10 cars in Victoria BC are modz, and other are all jsut riced out corollaz and VW Golf's, etc...

 

if your getting 18 i hope you keep your stock to take the 18s off at the track

 

ya prolly, but te problem is that i dont wanna damage these 18" rims, or like deform them if i hit a bump ur a ditch..!! is that possible?

 

Of course it's possible. I hit a pot-hole at about 30 and dented one of my stock rims. The 18's will slow you down for a drag application but would be great for cornering. For the strip you want small diameter rims with as wide and high aspect ratio tires as will fit in the fenders.

 

I still think 15" is the best way to go, much faster, practical, efficient, cheaper tires, better ride, and with the right wheels, looks kickass, because that is what REAL racecars use..

 

BBS 18" x 8 will fit my honda prelude..??

depends on what type of BBS rims. and yes.. 18x8 will fit.

for instance.. the 18x8 BBS RCJ weights in at only 17.9 lbs.

so ya.. it depends.
