ecu question for 91 civic with dohc zc

Default ecu question for 91 civic with dohc zc

i recently purchased a 91 civic si with no motor and tranny and i am going to be putting a dohc zc in it.will the stock si ecu work? or is there a better ecu to use?

The Si one will work.

The Integra one will also work - gives better ignition maps, but runs a little rich.

The ZC ECU obviously would be the ideal ECU.


You might want to try out a custom chip in your Si ECU. There should be a ROM floating around out there that has a good ZC tune.

do you know what the name of the zc ecu is? id like to find a zc ecu.

I wouldnt get the zc ecu cuz it pegs out at like 114mph.

shouldn't be doing that on the street anyway!

The ZC ECU will be governed at 114 but that can be removed.
