my radiator fan wont turn on, i switched it with my friends radiator fan an it still didnt work, i checked the fuses under the steering wheel an the raditor fan fuse was fine, is there a fuse for it in the engine bay, please help cuz my car gets hot really fast an doesnt go down even with heater on, not sure if it could be thermostat but doesnt seem like it, all inputs help thanks

 

Did you check the fan relay? maybe the fan switch at the thermostate needs to be replaced. If you need a temp fix just unplug the the connector at the thermostat housing and jump the 2 wires and the fan will turn on if it does not turn on then you may need a new fan relay......hope this helps you out.....all this info is assuming you have a obd1 or 2 car. if its obd0 then its on the back of the block.

i havent checked the fan relay yet, i have a obd2 motor switched to obd1, do i jump it at ryt at the thermostat area

 

jump it at the switch at the thermostat.....jump the 2 wires on the connector from the harness....

 

ok so i jumped the fan switch an it came on, so i will be gettin a new temp switch tomorow at acura, any ideas on the price of these

 

know idea what it cost, havent bought one, i can find out tomorrow when i get to the shop if you like and we can compare price's.....let me knowhat you find out!

 

i had the same problem
my problem was that sensor in the back of the block
the sensoor senses the coolent temp thats in the block and when it gets hot enough the sensor will turn the fans on

 

found the price for the sensor....its about 33 or so from the dealer and i can get it for you for 30 out the door with tax included......let me knwo what you find out.

 

when i talked to acura they said there were two thermal sensors, one was $40 and the other was $33, not sure which one it is, they said there was one with a 1 pin connector with no plastic housing an the other had a plastic housing around it

 

you need the one with 2 connections, the sensor with one connector is for the guage on the dash.
