Default Question about JDM headlights

this questino is for a friend

I have the jdm HID headlights.. now my right headlight was damaged, i found a good deal on some jdm headlights non HID. Could i use the right non HID one and my stock HID system somehow? Or are the jdm HID headlights different? I just want to be able to buy these non hid ones and keep oem HIDs.. sorry if this sounds all messed up. Thanks

I know the lens are different, I'm pretty sure the projector is different too.

The ballast from the HID won't fit the non HID. The bulbs are different too, so no way you are gonna make that work. If you get the non hid headlights, you are going to have to get HID bulbs which have been modified to fit a 9006 socket. Your beam pattern will suck, and you will regret it.

Buy the non hid, keep searching until you find a set of HID (they are out there, I bought a pair recently), and then sell your non HID
