Default Project CRX

My cousin and I are looking for a project car... I'm thinking CRX... Engine Swap... I'd like to be able to accomplish this project with around 5k...

Any recommendations on what models to look for? Any simple tips to get me on the right track?

I sort of checked out the stickies, but if someone would be kind enough to hook me up with some basic info, i would appreciate it...

Well if you have horseshoes in your *** like the rest of these guys have lately you can pull off a crx for around $200

And a B16 swap will run around 2 grand. So it is possible. Whatever you need to know just use the search feature, it can be your friend!

88 Crx Hf Shell - 800
H22A Swap with tranny and everything -2800

I think thats about 5k, 300hp but of course **** will come up that costs money

I would defientely be going nitrous on a project budget car though, just so cheap for the crazy hp you get, I love mine

For around $2800, you can get the 220HP Prelude Type-S swap. At $2000, the plain old H22A is quite a bit cheaper.

yah dont nos it, i say just build an all motor h22a, then later if you feel lucky, boost it, thats my plan for my crx, and yes it will be a daily driver but i dont care what you all say, i want an h22a.

Whats wrong with nitrous? Ive successfully ran outleast 8 bottles with no problems and the same compression across all cylinders, no different then turbo just $2500 cheaper

Boosted h22 is just a lot of money and you can just drop in that and expect your car to last, suspension is going to be anightmare and your gonna need some heavy axles and thieves, my god will that **** be a target

nitrous is ok if it is tuned right . its cheap hp boosting a car can be very stressful on a motor if its not built or tuned right . but if you have the money to build the bottom end do it and boost it.
