Default DC cat-back??!!

the '89 crx si I just bought has a new(less than a 1000mi) DC cat-back on it. I love DC, but did a search to see how others like it and there is NOTHING on anyone having a DC cat-back on a crx. do they suck for this car or what?! It sounds pretty nice...

thanks, shea

DC catbacks are really nice. They sound great and look great too. You can't beat that full stainless look. However, the one thing that puzzles me is how far the tip sticks out from the stock bumper. It is way out. If you have an aftermarket bumper then it is not as pronounced. Other than that it is a great system.

Yeah that is the only thing I dislike, the tip sticking out. Otherwise it is sweet. I was just wondering why noone ever mentions dc when people talk about exhausts

It's a horrible system, it does not give you any more performance than a stock exhaust, and the worst part is that it will attract both cops and thieves... if u wanna get rid of it, I'll take care of it for ya

My thermal took some time to break in and now it sounds a lot different than when I first got it.

Powerwise, I really can't tell you. I guess it is comparable to other systems. In the quality department it is great. I give it a 10 on build quality and fit. The sound is nice, loud at wot but deep. I give the sound an 8. I am sure it helped power out a bit just by the fact that it opened up the stock exhaust.

I would have gotten a thermal personally...but it is your choice. You can always cut a section out and reweld the tip so it doesn't stick out as far. Plus the thermal is under 500 bucks.

That is cool. On the rex it doesn't stick out as much as the one I saw on a hatch. The one on the hatch was at least 2-3 inches past the bumper.

Yep that is me man. The ZC is no longer.... The head gasket blew on it this weekend. I have had more problems with that thing. I guess the guy I got it from gave me a higher mileage motor than I was led to believe. I guess that b16 is coming sooner than i thought.

Buy a thermal.... I am a little biased though. I just don't really like having the tip stick out farther than my bumper.
