gas seeping through fuel filter bolt.. need help.
I just checked under the hood and i noticed that the bolt that holds the fuel line which leads tot he fuel rail was wet with gas.. i wiped it clean and then turned on the motor again and i notice oil is seeping through where the bolt goes into the line. I tightend it as much as it could be still seeping. Any ideas why?
The washers above & below the banjo fitting have rubber seals inside. When they're shot it doesn't do any good to tighten the bolt. When you take it apart clean up the surfaces that they seal against, too. They should be flat, straight, & smooth.

rubber seals??????
The PROPER seals are pure alluminum.
Just get two new seals and tighten down to the PROPER torque, tightening down the current ones will probably just make it worse.

I guess I figured all banjo fittings were the same. The washers (on either side of the banjo) have rubber lips around their inside. That seals against the flat surfaces of the banjo & the filter. So Honda does it different? Either way, you don't re-use the washers.

No it saved me a trip to Honda dealer which is 40 miles away from where I live. Sucks living in the boonies
and don't worry the tape wont plug up the injectors

Yes, the tape WILL plug the injector if it gets that far.

and you know this how?
I didn't tape the entire thread, just the part where it holds onto the rim of the filter. If you take out the bolt you will notice it has a hole on the bottom and a hole on the side near the head of the bolt.. I taped just above that hole where it doesn't even dip into the fuel.. so please tell me how this will happen?
