I went through emissions 3 times yesterday and failed each time on the HC (hydrocarbons). My CRX is completely stock with a new O2 sensor, just changed oil... And messed with the timing a little. It is still twice the max level. There is a leak I found yesterday in the middle of the exhaust which i'm not sure if that is playing a role in the problem. Anybody have any suggestions??

 

When was the last time you had a tune up? Hows your timing? Check all your vaccuum lines and make sure they are connected. Start with those things first.

 

Run methanol or denatured alcohol in your gas.. Works like a charm

 

tune it up, run some of that emmissions (in a bottle) junk through and see what happens
