probably had a few bolt-ons and a lot of weight reduction. Quite a few guys can run high 14's in stock h22a's.

It doesn't surprise me. I have seen a few times like that from a stock Lude.

he probably had radials, clutch-flywheel, and a 35 shot of nitrous...
but honestly probably a clutch fly wheel set up. i mean 14.6 is pretty fast!
But if you said he did it...then i want him to drive me everywhere, he is AWESOM-O

truth. it hurts. he lied. like someone else said, 14.6 is pretty damn quick, there's mods on that car somewhere. if stock ludes were running 14.6's off the lot, they'd still be selling 'em, because people would still be buying 'em.

yeah when I ran 14.8 it was with an AEM CAI and Toyo T1-S tires and some mild weight reduction (spare/jack)

That guy was lying, that's like an ITR stock 1/4 mile time

im with satan...

14.6 is FIBBING!

now 14.9+ is reasonable. im not calling you a liar, but if he ran a 14.6 with Potenza or what ever tire he had, and stock everything even if he had CAI 14.6 is pushing it.
HE MUST HAVE BROKEN IT IN RIGHT LOL

Speak of GSR's times, I knew someone who ran a 14.9 with just an AEM CAI. And it was OBD2 too!

Not 13.6, but I saw a guy run 13.8-13.9's with bolt on's and a clutch. 4th Gen, full interior.

Maybe that guy had a strong tail wind, with a slight downhill slope at the end of the track?

I believe him also, It takes about 5,000 miles for engines to kick in, and i've seen cars with 50k miles shave a second off their 1/4 by just basically driving it! The thing is when car manufacturers and magazines test cars there still brand new and the engines have not kicked in yet, thus not reaching its full potential. I can do 0-60 in around 6 sec in my stock prelude with 90k when the number I should have gotten was 7.

If you don't believe it then pick up CAR and Driver. I'm not going to look in my back issues to find the issue but I know it was in Volume 49. They tested a saturn with over 50k miles and they were also surprised with the major improvements that had occured.

The prelude that runs high 13s with bolt ons also dyno's around 175 on a mustang, 195 on a dynojet. just something to think about.

i have never heard of this in my life.
Also the breaking in period is also bulls%&T.
If it ran a 14.6 im happy for the guy, but lets say thats 1-in-1,000,000!
my friend has my same setup as me with 60k minus the hondata, and he ran a 14.7! so your going to tell me this "super" prelude ran a 14.6 cause it has more miles on it. CAR & Driver is retarded for saying that if they did.

I guess it's possible, but not probable. He'd have to have a sick stock motor. He'd have to be making 190+whp and have a perfect run on any prelude above 3,000lbs. Even with that, it's pretty damn hard to believe.

But, , on something rare.

EDIT: Do you know trap speeds or 60'? Unfortunately a 1/4 time doesn't explain the whole story.

its not impossible... it takes the right car with the right parts and the right driver... ive been running 13.7 to 13.8's in my 4th gen for close to two years with nothing but bolt ons, a little weight reduction, and slicks, but slicks also qualify as bolt-ons in my book...
