Default Changing your oil

I just bought an R6, just wondering does anynody know how to change the oil on this bike. I need to put in 3 quarts right?

My knowledge in bikes is zero. I ask here because i know quite a few people on here with R1s and R6s.

you'll need to warm up the bike for about 5 mins before draining your oil. You will also need to remove the left side lower fairing. If you have a rear stand for your bike the easier it will be, otherwise your kickstand will do. once you've removed the fairing, there will be the drain bolt right under the kickstand. It shold be a 17mm bolt facing directly down. remove it and all the oil will drain out. the oil filter is right next to it. its the big round thing thats to the left of the kickstand pivot point. undo that and reinstall the new filter. the filter will only be put on hand tight. after that put the drain bolt back on and fill the motor with 2.8 quarts on the right side of the bike. its a black cap that can be easily twisted off. theres a dipstick right below that. its a long black stick with a **** on it. put ont he fairings and you're done.

Before you put the new oil filter on, lube the rubber o-ring with some oil, then hand-tighten. And don't forget and DON'T FORGET to put the drain plug back in.

As for how much oil you need, I think it's 3.7 quarts for a change with the oil, right? Usually I'll put in 3.5 (or about that much), run the bike for a couple minutes, then check the oil level and add oil as needed.

I was working bottom side/top side (drain oil/change filter/lube fittings/etc.)
Well i forgot to put back the oil drain bolt for the customer.
when i was putting oil in the car i look underneth and ******* oil was coming out.
what a waste of oil.
