JG Cams Vs JUN III??????
They are copy's of the Jun3's. But everytime A company tries this they are alittle different. Remember jun uses a factory honda cam blank, so you are getting the factory honda metallurgy. Jun has been designing vtec cams since like 93. And they revised them to make them thicker to address the breaking problems. If you are going to build the head I would use jun cams. Do it right the first time. I have had them for two years, and love them.(power to 10k-all day) The dont wear fast like other aftermarket cams.In my opinion they are the best on the market . They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Dont get me wrong.I am not putting down other manufacturer's cams. Jun is just slightly better.....If you are intrested I have a set in stock..I will work you A deal.
might be worth calling jg and asking them.
or call portflow or other places that might have experience with jg and jun cams.
i bet sean @ church automotive has tuned a set of jg cams...
remember, choosing a cam really depends upon your preferences and your setup.
there is not a golden cam that is best for all engines

Jun 3's are the best, don't chump out on em and buy some lame *** copy. I'd personally do Skunk 2 stage 2's over any "copy" or for that matter Toda b's, but I'm doin Jun 3's for sure this next spring...the best cam that you can buy.

i'd do jun stage II's for the excellent midrange.
Jun III's are basically drag cams.</TD></TR></TABLE>
well it depends upon what range of rpm they are in.
most likely 5k maybe 4.5k to 9k
its about tq curve, how much there is, and how flat it stays.
i havent seen any dynos of jun 3's having low power in the 4.5k and up range.
if anything the jun 2's might even taper off in the top end

well, i'm making my suggestion based on what the guys at JUN told me:
jun II: road race/mid-range power
jun III: drag race/ high-range power
maybe if this guy tells us what his goals are, we'd assist him better

Well, On my B20Vtec, I already have JUN 3s and they are the best. No power loss what so ever and 5500 til 9000 RPMs (which is where I am most of the time) the power is just plain awsome. I was asking about the JG cams because I just sold my other Road Race car and the owner was looking for options to get to my power level or even more power and the JGs are way cheaper. Like $500 less por the cams and valvetrain.

Yes the old (ver. 1) jun cams did break. However jun has adressed this issue buy making thicker cams (ver. 2) from factory honda blanks. So wouldnt that make it the same metal? I know You have alot of experience with this..So please correct me if I am wrong..... Either way Jun 3's make great power...

I would like to see the dyno graphs...That it pretty hard to believe...I mean anything is possible. I just find that a little hard to buy...Maybe with more compression , and standalone...hmmmmmmm
