help pic new seats for my crx
the seats in my 91 Hf are torn and all broken down. i want to get new seats but don't know which ones. im thinking about getting some kind of racing seats but don't know which one will fit. its on a daily driver so comfort is a big factor along with looks and im trying not to spend too much. let me know what you guys think and if you could give me prices.
Thanks

Factory Si seats are by far the most comfortable seats I have sat in. And the support is great. Plus they are oem so they shouldn't give you too many install issues(if you use the matching year) and they won't draw too much attention to your car.
i don't mind drawing attention, actually i would kinda like to. i sounds like the si seats are definatly a good option. what about racing seats? are they not as comfortable? i sat in some that were in a 94 civic and i didn't think they felt bad. i guess the only reason that im thinking about racing seats is mainly for looks. any help is appreciated.

If you want reclineables, don't bother with aftermarket seats - do like these guys are saying and get some 88-89 CRX Si seats. You could do a few better than that too - you could get some of the JDM CRX seats with the leather bolsters and cloth inserts, or even the EDM CRX seats - full leather, bigger bolsters than USDM seats, "CRX VTEC" stitched logo, but very pricey.
If you want racing (non-reclineable, fixed-back) seats, first figure out what your price range is. For ~$220/seat, you could get Sparco Sprints or Corbeau Forza's. For closer to $500/seat, you could get some Sparco Evo/Evo II's or some Sparco Fighters. All of these seats are very lightweight, also. The Fighter will bolt in easier than the Evo I believe...correct me if I'm wrong!

does anyone have the tenzo R seats or any of the ones off ebay? im looking to spend under $500 for a pair. i guess i just prefer the look of the racing seat over the si.

Ok this is what stumps me... Why dont you guys ever take it to an upholster? I may end up doing that with me because my best friends good friend, his mom does that for a living, so I could get both seats done for $200 I guess, and she can do anything. Why dont people take that route instead of buying new ones?!
Why reupholster it? Most arent in it for the look of the seat, its the function
Cloth holds you a lot better than leather/vinyl and it draws attention to your car
We dont like attention, stock Crx seats is what Ill have for a long time, spend the money you saved on a harness

I bought a set of JDM CRX SIR seats (all cloth) with the cool CRX stiched in below the head rests. If you look around, you could probably find some for about $200 for the pair. The only bummer is that the passenger will be the lucky one with the lumbar support.

both of the seats in my car are passenger seats, exactly the same other than the recline lever is on the right for both seats, if the drivers seat ever feels mushy Ill just switch em
well along with comfort i would like them to look good. i don't mind drawing attention in fact i would kinda like to. it sounds like the si seats are comfortable and i am considering them, i was just wondering if there were any racing seats that are comfortable.
