has anyone leathered out the interior of a Civic Si or just a Civic in general and know how much it would cost?

 

ok... no one knows... no one has done this before... and it's totally abnormal to want to leather your interior... blah!

 

for vinyl i was quoted $600 for full interior and for leather its like $1200 or something

you can get a leather kit from auto-leather.com for about 700 in any color,style you want.

for front and back seats. 1100 sounds right if done perfect. U can use german vinyl. everybody thinks its leather, because its in german luxury and sports cars. its real real real hard for the average person to tell the difference.

also i have seen a 99 civic si come from the dealer with leather. the guy payed like a stoopendous price for it. but it was as good as the accord v6's in quality. straight OEM

The dealers send it out to get the leather put in. There are no OEM leather interiors for the EK in the US.

 

First of all, the OEM seats in an Si suck, and they will go from bad to worse with leather as far as support (now you can just slip out of them) so I would reccomend looking for some already leather GSR seats and have the rears covered to match. Or you can do what I did, find a cheap pair of del sols and buy a Katzkin leather kit to redo those and the stock rears/doors/armrest. Most kits are about 700$ and you can do it yourself it you are mechnically inclined, otherwise pay someone else (it will worth your money to have it done correctly trust me)

SIRIUS... you are right, cuz originally when i was looking into buying an Si, a few people had leather interior upgrades. one guy said the dealer put it in. so i went to my local Honda and asked how to go about getting leather done by Honda. they said they send their work out, so you are right when you say it is not OEM and that it is sent out.
as far as vinyl, i dont want vinyl, i want leather! and i dont want different seats (to the guy that said to get different seats) i like the Si seats, and they will not wear since im usually the only one who rolls my car (i got no scrubs) and im a little girl. so my seats can handle me. plus i dont drive it that much since i have another car for daily driving.
anyway if leather upgrade is only around $1200, im game for sure....
