sorry dude, but its just your negligence sucks, and you haven't owned up to your mistakes. just be careful next time hopefully this is a lesson learned and you can walk away and own up to your mistakes. and no one is to blame but yourself.

you were stupid, and you got caught, own up 2 it and people MAY respect you, but there's no reason to go that fast on a public road at anytime, any number of things could lead to you killing other people

you're not warning ANYONE, the warnings are the goddamned speed limit signs, you broke the law, HORRIBLY, now you're fucked

it sucks and it happens but you messed up and you F-ed YOURSELF

 

Anyone who says they dont do over 100 on public roads at least a few times a year is full of ****.

Hide behind your computer screen and talk ****. I never assumed 495 was a racetrack nor did i assume I could test the limits of my driving abilities and my car.
Pulling your car and racing your car are two different things. All I am trying to do is use myself as an example so people would think twice about speeding on the highway. If you dont think i learned from my mistakes then that makes you a bumble ****(or whatever the **** that means).

My man......if you got caught speeding in VA and were doing 100 plus you had mise well plan on going to jail. I got stopped back in January on I-81 doing 102 in a 65 and just spent the weekend in the CWWF Regional jail two weekends ago in Winchester. If this hasnt taught you a lesson jail will. I am sorry that you got caught but hopefully this teaches you a lesson as it did myself. I know that we all go over 100 and we are all hipocrits if we were to say that we didnt but dont do it on the interstate and especially not in VA. They are laying down the the law and not lightly what so ever. Best of luck to you, go ahead and take a drivers improvement exam, one that gives you a certificate of completion. Do anything that will increase your chances....seriously. I would also go ahead and find yourself and attorney b/c you will need one.

I drive 495 daily, I'd never do more than 75-80 on it.

 

i dont ever drive fast on 495..if i do its through the 395/495 interchange and i only kick it up to maybe 80 there

Actually I can say that with 100% honesty. The last time I was doing over 100 on a public road was during the FL ITR dyno day in.. late 01/early 02 I think it was.

Not all of us speed excessively.

Edit: And to note, even back then I hit over 100 MAYBE once a year.

There are certain times of the day that traffic will be allowed to flow at those speeds; however, Virginia troopers seem to draw the line at 80 when it comes to how fast a reasonable person could be expected to drive under ideal circumstances.

And if you're driving over 80 <u>and</u> you're tailgating, racing or doing something else dumb, then God save you because the Commonwealth will not!
