As the title states I am beginning my first REAL project car.
Its a 1988 CRX STD. 5 spd and all stock. Only 134,000 miles on the car.
I picked it up on Memorial Day (monday, may 31st). The kid wanted 350 bucks for it
So I told him I would give him 260 for it
It drives smooth in fact the kid, with in the last 2 years, has dropped almost 2 grand on the car to keep it running smoothly (records to prove it
).
I guess enough talk I'll just show some pictures now.
These 3 are the night I got it sorry that its dark and gloomy (flash sucks in the dark and light for that matter j/k)

All the work was done on it during the previous night but figure I'd wait till morning to take pictures.

The Red Civic in the background is my daily beater.

It turned out to be a whole lot of rust on the running boards...

All that is wrong with the front is the radiator, rad support, hood, headlights.
I'm going to replace the entire front end rather than working on the rust spots and misc. scratch and bruises.
The engine bay is going to be treated to a pull and gut type method
This weekend I am planning on pulling the motor and start on the MPFI wiring to the STD/DX engine harness. I'll also be adding VTEC.
By the end of the summer I plan on having a fully built b16a2 w/hydro tranny. And hopefully have the car exterior/engine bay color matching.
I know this is pushing it but when you don't have a life, like me, you tend to have a lot of free time.
Wish me luck and keeping the flaming to a minimum, thanks.

I read this and was about to verbally assault you for arguing about a $350 price tag, but when I scrolled down, I now know why...
to the cancer spots
But good luck anyway, have fun with it

The hardest part is trying to find a donor CRX that I can get some parts from so I can fix the rust and weld up the parts with other CRX's clean parts.
(if that makes sence to you

Well in order to fix the rust I picked up a rear clip. I also got a new rad-support. 260 with tax. not that bad. I'm going to be gutting the interior today and in about 2 weeks I plan on taking all the sound dampening. I'll let everyone know how its coming together and try getting some pics up. O-yeah doors and rear bumper are now off (alot of hidden rust).
