A/c in 96 ls turbo hatch
i've done some research, but was kinda unsuccessful..i am puttin a turbo ls non vtec in a 96-98 hatch and i wanted to use the a/c from the stock motor on this new motor.
my question is, how do i do this? what kind of bracket or whatever do i need to make this work??please help..
also, do i need to retrieve the freon out of the whole ac system before i uninstall it from the stock motor and then have more freon added when i install it on the swap?
thanx for the help, this is the only problem i am runnin into, i use to have a crx with a b16 with no ac...i can't do it again especially in the summer!

You either use the CRV bracket or the DEL SOL bracket. I believe its the DEL SOL one though. Or you can do what i did and have the Integra ends welded to the Civic lines. It cost me $30 a line and i think the bracket is more than that, well it use to be. If you have more questions just ask.

Same thing. Use the del sol bracket. It doesnt matter what civic its in since the compressor does not bolt to the chassis.

what's the bracket for exactly? to hold the lines in place? or the evaporator or somethin? i dunno where to even start, i just want someone to explain to me what to do to chnge everything over to the ls so i have some ac...

The "bracket" bolts onto the front of the motor and it holds the a/c compressor. Your LS bracket was designed to use a DOHC compressor but the DEL SOL one bolts onto DOHC motors but is designed to hold SOHC compressors.

so the only real problem i'll run into with puttin an ac on is just mounting the compressor? will the compressor or any lines or anything be in the way of the turbo/intercooler piping?
also, should i have a shop disconect it for me from the stock motor and also re conect it? because im not sure but i'm guessing i would have to recover the freon first or somethin....??
