Default obd-0 vs obd-2

ok so i have a friend who planes on buying a g3 integ and dropping a g2 gsr engine in it.
and he says its because of the obd-0.
is the obd-o really that much better than the obd-2?.
i wouldnt think so becuase then why wouldnt acura still use it on the newer cars.
but what do you guys think?

your friend is dumb, and goodluck finding a gen2 gsr engine. i'd only do that swap if he has that engine and his gen3 is a LS. on board diagnostics wont give u more power?!? anyways, Gen2 GSR's are all obd1....

im pretty sure that a gen 2 gsr engine is obd1 to begin with and i doubt he would be able to find one, at least w/o 150k+ miles on it

Yea I think you're right about OBD1, I know all of the other g2's have OBD1. It is an extremely rare motor though, but I think it could be a good buy even at 150k+ if you plan to rebuild.

the only diff would be "maybe" less emissions restrictions(thats just my guess) ...i have a 92 GS-R w/ a B17A1 and it's obd-1.....i don't know if converting to obd-0 would ever be worth the money to change all the stuff.. if your going to spend money on changing why not just get a VAFC...or stand alone if your a big baller.
