Default Vertical Door Conversion

Alright. So I was browsing around ebay, just looking for random items for my car, and I came accross this vertical door kit. Was wondering if anyone has heard of Decah?

Anyone have a VDC kit installed? If so, then is it a pain in the butt to get in and out of the car?

Not my style, but just to let you know there are lots of cheaper alternatives to those style doors.

I looked at the Ebay site and expected something like $300 or so for the kit. When I saw it was over $1000, I was shocked. If you want something like that, look around some more. Most of the cheaper alternatives have the same type of "hinge" system.

Yeah yeah, I know it specifically says it's not a hinge, but I couldn't think of a better word.

a royal pain in the *** he said, fenders had to be rolled, every wire had to be spliced and lengethen and all that ****...

three days after a flawless install that took days, the kid was out on his motorcycle, broke his left shoulder, and is now selling the car cause he cant close the door anymore....irony huh?

There are 4 threads in the appearance forum if you select "archive".

If you actually learned to search, you wouldn't be making such Wack threads.

do these doors open normally too? Or only upwards? Reason for the DeLorean mot flying with some people is that if the car ever flipped you'd be trapped.

Toyota Sera came with these doors from the factory and it looked hella cool...but it wasn't too popular due to safety reasons:

Theres an RSX around here with them. Rochester loves spaceship cars with vinyl interiors.

Personally I think they are

But Decah was one of the first companies making a actual kit to have vertical doors. I'm sure they are pretty good compared to some of the other cheaper companies.
