Was thinking of getting the OEM Type R car cover...
I was thinking of getting a OEM Type R car cover from the dealer for 163$, just wondering if the quality is any good and if it is a durable outdoor cover and not a flimsy one that will just absorb water? Anyone know where to get one for cheaper?
You will like the OEM cover. The only thing I can complain about is that it doesnt quit go all the way underneath the bottom of the car in the back becasue of the wing.
what about something like these

Acura OEM cover is not designed for outdoor use over all inclement weather. It's best used for storage/indoor cover at best. When it gets enough water on the cover, it'll absorb water.
Another option is to use OEM cover, then put another water proof cover (from AutoZone, etc.). So, now you have water protection + tightly fitting quality cover.
My advice = garage, unless it's completely out of question.

I really like my OEM cover. I use it outside all the time, although not in any type of inclement weather. It fits really well, over the US and JDM front ends. It may be a little pricey, but it fits perfectly so I really like it.

I would also recommend California Car Cover Co. -- they have a lot of nice options
I do have an OEM cover, which is nice for indoor storage, but the rear is a little tight with the wing on.

I recommend that you get a car cover that is custom made for the ITR. It can be the OEM one from the dealer, or an aftermarket one. Just don't get a generic "one size fits all" because it won't fit well, and if you use it outside, a generic one will blow around on the car, whereas a custom one fits like a glove.
Aftermarket car covers are available in a variety of different fabrics to fit your needs. Some are water-permeable, others are not; some are more expensive; some are more durable; some are more compact when folded; etc. You can find information about the advantages and disadvantages of each fabric on the websites of the car cover vendors.
Two of the big vendors of aftermarket car covers, with the above-noted information on their websites, are:
California Car Cover (already mentioned above) and
Big Sky Car Cover
