they make an application for the R, don't know what the offset on an accord is, so I can't help you there...but they are available...

try machiii.net I believe is the website that was hosting a group buy from groupbuycenter.com....

the offset of the rotas is 40mm for the 15'' and 16'' model. The R's offset is 45mm. Is there any way that will fit? (i'm new at this)

What kinda dumb comment is that? Why shouldn't I have spoons? Or vice-versa? I know of plenty of 'R's I can beat up on.

Hes saying that if you have a Type-R, don't put knock-offs on it.

Stay JDM...

I feel the same way But Rotas are going on my hatch.

fuQ that, slipstreams are amazing bang for the buck, whatever you drive. If you don't have money coming out of your ***, the rotas are a great choice...look good, fairly lightweight, and if you break/dent/curb one you won't be crying...and you won't have to wait for a replacement. The quality of forged wheels is amazing, and they're great (i love my volks), but if you have multiple sets of wheels for various applications, you can't beat a good deal. Mine should be here next week, will be wearing azenis for track days as soon as it gets warm again Just because something costs more, doesn't mean it's better.

I agree with Aleph 100%. I've always loved the looks of the Spoons and planned on picking them up in the distant future. Now I'll save tons of money and get the look I want w/ the Rota's, and spend the extra $$ on other needs.
My 0.2.

I was talking to John Modica (owner of Modacar) a while back and wondering aloud about how much of Spoons' retail pricing is more rooted in marketing and perception than in the reality of build quality. I don't doubt Spoons quality in any way, nor do I doubt that of BBS or begrudge them for selling at high margins. But you sure as hell know that these guys are trading and profitting on the perceptions of their customers. John mentioned that the Spoon wheel is actually mfg'ed in Russia and that the Rota was also built in a 3rd world country.

I would much rather spend the coin on Rota (for an ITR track wheel) if they meet TUV and the Japanese standards and use the delta on more track-time. I think this brand loyalty thinking is somewhat misplaced when we simply don't have an objective view of how these wheels really compare for quality.
