best RPM 2 take off of?!?
what is the best rpm to take off of on a prelude sh 2001, only have intake n exhaust if that makes a difference, i feel like between 4000 n 5000 is good, but is there something better? thanks
damn, maybe if you like burning out. a good launch is probably around 2500-3200 your still goin to catch traction, but not as much as 4000-5000 range....might as well be doing a burnout.
i can't get traction if i go as high as 5000. i try to keep it around 3500-4000.
this was on my old crap tires and 17 inch rims. i also have an exedy clutch now. im in the process of breaking in the new clutch so i havent done any launches yet. also my new tires are yokohama es100's, size 225/45/16 on rota slips.

Depends a lot on tires obviousley. My stock lude tires were completely bald and "launching" at like 2G I would "burn out". I got yokohama avs es 100's/kyb agx's now and I usually launch at like 3500-4000 and get pretty good traction.
I would say it's almost impossible to tell you where to launch because there are too many variables that play a role. For one, it depends on your tires, two, the way you launch the car wether it be dumping the clutch or feathering. Also, type of clutch you have and the type of ground you are on. Your best bet is to just practice and do what you feel most comfortable with. Good luck.

if you are just gonna dump it go low rpms. gonna feather it out go high. be careful where you practice!!!!!!!!!!! cops do not like it when you do fat launches on the street, not good. big ol hairy ticket.
4.5k with slight feathering then WOT.
I JUST today launched with my friend sitting passanger, and the jack/spare in the back on my crappy all seasonal's, and got a 0-60 time of 6.97. Now, my car is absolutely stock and it's an SH. I'm very proud of myself. I can't wait to see my 1/4 time.

3 thousand on fulda extremo's with no chirp at launch, little chirp at 1-2 upshift.
torque braking for me 'cause I suck and like to keep my foot on the floor.
