Best Jacket for Extreme HEAT
the AVG(sp?) mesh is pretty cool, I got it for $119...I had that but it was too big for me and so I got an Icon mesh(got it for $189)..it's probably the best looking mesh jackets out there and its plenty cool. I also live in the FL heat
I have a alpinesrae textile checkit the one with the big alpinstar a on it thats the best one i have i love that Jacket i paid around 200 for it but thats a deal because that jacket has been good in the heat and cold it has a liner that u take right out and then it fully vented out... I rode in the florida heat with it when i was down there felt like i was riding in New england agian
i need to get another textile jacket as well. I have a teknic textile thats not very cool so i never wear it. I'm using an alpinestars leather dyno jacket...not perforated either. It is extremely hot with it here in georgia. Temps are around 85-90 degrees. I was thinking about getting the icon mesh as well.

I have one of those Joe Rocket textile's you see everyone in the world wear, its cooler than a leather in this horrible south florida heat, but its kinda ugly lol I'm thinking about getting a Speedrag next, they are really cool lookin . . .

I'm using some crappy FS $80 dollar mesh jacket... It does the trick...
This damn Florida heat is killing me, I wore a tank top, my gloves and helmet when I rode to the beach the other day... Now I look like I'm still wearing a tanktop and gloves, even when I have them off...
I'll probably upgrade to an icon mesh jacket next month.

I usually rock my Icon Mesh at night or during evening rides duing the week with some jeans. I slip on the weekends though and usually rock a Jersey, Tank top, or T-shirt with some shorts to the beach and just cruising. Not exactly safe but its hot as **** here in FL and it's much easier picking up chicks when you're not dressed in gear

It won't. Motorcycle Consumer News did a test on these a year or so ago and the result was they are tougher than you think. They have also been out for a few years now and if they truly sucked we would know it. At highway speeds I would rather be wearing a textile, but for around town driving they are fine.
I wear the JR Phoenix jacket. It was cheap, offers good protection ats moderate speeds, and is comfortable. Hint: If you are looking at one of these, *do not get black*, it works against you.
