b18c pulsating at idle
heres the deal, i bought a 94 gsr almost 2 weeks ago. ran fine, no problems, then i just recently installed headers, a test pipe, and cat back exhaust. as soon as i cranked it up it immediately revved to 3k rpm then when finally warming began pulsating from 2.5 rpm to 1.5 back and forth. well, i thought maybe since its an obd 1 it just needed to get used to not having a cat, so i waited a few days and then reset the computer, no good, still pulsating. ive checked for vacuum leaks, and disconnected sensors, its all good. nothing reads on the diagnostic, so ive narrowed it down to the tps sensor due to past problems with hondas. but why would changing the exhaust cause this, and is this right????? could it possibly be something else?? i need help!
tried resetting your idle speed yet? there's a screw at the top of the throttle body. use a flat head screwdriver and adjust it to factory idle spec. you should have a good aftermarket tach that will read single digit readings.
