I took my girl's car to the body shop today. The hood had damage to it and needed to be repaired and then painted. They did it in 1 day.

Is this enough time for sanding, priming, drying, and painting??

It just seems to me that it would take longer but I could be wrong.

 

naa, it's possible, if the damage wasn't too bad, are you sure they didn't just replace the hood? Did you get it back the same day?

 

no they just repaired the hood, because they said a new hood and paint would be $100 more, and that's with an aftermarket hood which isn't as good as OEM.

 

I had a friend who got his car painted in one day. 3 stage paint job too. it was a year ago, car looks great.

 

must have been a slow day

 

Thats sounds pretty quick, every time I've dealt with body shops they always have my car an extra week
