i guess you hack off the stock pipe to "slip-on" the new exhast and clamp it down?

that sucks for not being able to put the stock pipe back on.

Same here, should be a clamp to take off the stock exhaust as well as the slip on.

thats retarded if you have to cut it. Most slips ons have a midpipe also. That way you just slip off the stock exhaust and slip on the aftermarket midpipe and muffler. Others can bolt on to the stock midpipe like the gsxr, 929, etc.

If you have to modify the stock exhaust, that defeats the purpose of calling it a "slip-on"

Interesting... looks like you have to go through a baffle too... you have to hack these on on 929's but the bolts are unaffected in terms of mounting the pipe

Pretty sure you have to cut the stock exhaust for any SV650 slipon, not just TBR.

no wonder the full exhausts are so popular. plus the full exhausts arent too much more expensive since there isnt much piping to them.

the SV650 exhaust piping is all welded together from the header to the muffler. pretty much have to cut it.

i guess this is a cost saving thing for them. its a cheap bike.

thanks guys.
