Default vtec oil pressure switch ( need help )

Ok, i got a couple questions just to be safe on the H22a. The vtec oil pressure switch is in between the distributor and the coil(if external), correct?. It is the thing held on by 3 bolts, with two wires coming off going into a green plug and a black plug I believe.

So when I take this off do I have to set anything back to a setting or is it just pull out clean or replace and then reinstall?

Anyone know how much a new one costs? Where could I get it?

Thanks
Mike

sounds like your having some serious issues with your car, you should return it to the previous owner for a full refund pronto!! hehe

but no the vtec solinoid is what is held on by 3 bolts .. the presure switch screws into the block

in the link below you can see the seliniod above the #12. when you remove the 3 bolts the filter/gasket is between the block and the selinod assembly. You just pull out the oil filter and put in a new one OR just clean the old one. Very easy to do

Hey thanks alot. I hope cleaning it helps, if not I will just go out and buy a new one. Only like 30 bucks at honda.

Do I just clean it with some carb cleaner or something?

Yep; spray it down, let it dry, reinstall.
