Prelude 4th gen JDM Headlights! Took apart..... Need info.. What Sealant 2 use??
Ok.. came up with nothing when I searhed.. and I know that I am not alone on this one...
Bought a pair of JDM one piece Black Headlights for my 95 Lude. The lenses were foged up on the inside (Hazzy)... But I got them at to good of a price to pass up.
I baked them in the oven for like 5-10 mins @ 250-275.. Didn't want to melt them
eventough I was told I could do it at like 350 !! DAMN.. MELT DOWN!
Used MOTHERS plastic polish, and I must say they look CLEAN!! Better than I thought they might turn out..
Ok Dudes/ and any chix that may have done this...
WHAT DID YOU USE TO SEAL THESE THINGS BACK TOGETHER WITH??
I bought some Black Permatex Weather sealant stuff from Pepboys.. But I am not sure if that will cut it... after all this time a work.. I Don't want them to leak..
I thought about a Urathane base sealant but once I seal these bad boys thats it.... Theres no return once I use Urathane.>
Thanx

I'll go ahead and vote against the weather sealant, bc i've used it before on my sun visors for my sunroof/windows and the things still didn't stay all that well.
btw- you should probably ask in appperance/cosmetics...

I repaired one of mine, I have a writeup Ill upload onto the board within the next hour but you should use a 'high modulous' weatherproof clear silicone sealant. The stuff I used says "guarenteed for 10 years" so seems high quality enough.

Oh- and I'm not too sure if I wanna get the windshield sealant, I'm mean the glass installers have to CUT out the glass...Well I guess I know it would to the trick, um better than "some glue stick". lol
