Anyone put a Quaife, Phantom grip or Kaaz in their accord tranny? Any comments? Please no hearsay or rumors like "phantom grip sucks yo!" Cause i know JG Luder has one in his all motor Lude and it was just about the only thing that worked fine, id like real experiences preferablely. Thanks guys

 

I don't know anyone that currently has one, but we all want one. Quaife is pretty much the best out there. Most will say it's even better than the OE LSD on JDM H22s.

 

Yeah, even though Quaife is the most expensive out of the bunch, it seems to gain only positive reviews and has the least amount of problems. I would personally rather pay more for a product I know that has been proven to yield performance, and it more reliable...

Anyone know how hard these are to install? I'm thinking of getting one when I install my new clutch... maybe even daring to do it myself with a Helms manual (b-day present)

 

quick question... does the JDM h22a trans come with a LSD??? I thought only the type-S came with it. I have a 95 JDM h22a, but I am not too sure if it has LSD. I never get 1 wheel spin while launching, but I haven't tried to take a turn while spining my tires.

As far as accords with LSD, some 94-95 accords that were made in japan have LSDs on them already. I read a post a long time ago, some dood with a 95 accord that was made in japan was installing a quaife, and it turned out that he already had a LSD.

 

I'm sure not all JDM H22s came with an LSD, and I'm sure the option wasn't limited only to the Type S.
I guess you'd save a few bucks getting an LSD JDM tranny instead of getting a Quaife in a "regular" 5 speed.

not really... I never looked into it because I have a 97. I think it was only the ones made in japan, and you can tell where it was made by your vin #.

 

well does anyone have a good price for a JDM Honda LSD? it's probably more difficult to find just the OE LSD separate from the tranny...
