Default Question about Fuel Pressure after changing my FPR

Last night I installed my new Aeromotive FPR and got rid of my AEM.

I have a fuel pressure guage on the top of my fuel filter and also one on the aeromotive FPR. After installing it and starting the car and adjusting it I see the fuel pressure guage on the fuel filter says 40 psi but the one on the FPR says 35.

Which guage should I be reading from to make sure I have it set at the proper pressure? I went with the one on the top of the fuel filter because that is what it was set at when I had the aem fpr installed. So I figured if I set it at the same psi with the new fpr it does not really matter what the guage on the aeromotive one says b/c there is a prob a drop in pressure from the filter to the end of the fuel rail where the FPR is.

Am I thinking correctly? I just wanted to make sure I should not be reading the one in the fpr.

To me this sounds logical as you are losing a little pressure at the rail. The fuel filter one should always read higher. Although I would think 5psi is a lot. Different gauges, different readings.

Install one on the fuel rail if that's an easy option.

chad, you are thinking correctly.

as long as the pressure is the same at the fuel filter as when we tuned it. it will be just fine.
