Default VTEC questions regarding my civic Si 99...

Hey guys, I just got an Si 99, I was wondering, i got an Apexi VTEC controller, not installed yet, but wanted to ask you guys what would be the BEST setting for my VTEC? kick in after 4000 rpm? 4500 rpm? 5000 rpm? which one is it? And also, I was thinking to buy Skunk2 racing stage 1 camshaft, good idea? bad idea? pls give me your opinions and other things i should do to keep it all motor and fast... Thanks

search, and on a stock motor keep the stock vtec engagement point.............John

keep it where it's at or keep it close to. honda engineered the motor and vtec to work close together. there's a reason why it's set at 5500

No reasaon to change it if your stock. Pop in your vafc and go dyno tune your car, you might be able to pick of some power on your stock motor.

You might want to get both of them... Skunk 2's are pretty good, but look at Jun and Toda too. JDM tYtE daWg!!!
