Default Altenator question.

okay my alternator has gone wack, i have to hit it so that it charges my battery. so i'm going to replace it.
question is what should i replace the alternator with.
i have a 1st gen b16. i'm thinking of either getting an OEM one, but for what model engine would work, perhaps the Si/SiR (canadian) b16 altenator, or would that not work. or getting a higher amperage altenator.

-> i currently have the black housing projectors installed, and the bulbs they use are H1's both low and high beams. i'm also running an audio system as well. with 2 12's. so my question is, should i get a higher amperage one, if so what kind should i get or should i stick with the oem one from a Si/SiR

TIA..

The 90-91 teg alternator should be fine. Make sure the pulley size(numbers of ribs) is the same. hth
