Does anyone know if a SR20DET would fit in a 2nd gen Prelude 1985 model????

hahahahahah go for it, that would be bad ***, i heard about a guy puttin a type-r (b18c5) in a Ford Festiva....so im pretty sure you could do it.

if your asking then don't even bother.

extend the nose about a foot. rear wheel drive? You'd have to cut up the firewall and reinforce it with bracing. Probably have to open up the exhaust tunnel more, and take the rear end and try to somehow stick it in there. severe modification.

if your going to say I love my 2nd gen, i just want speed, drifting, xxx, then you wouldn't do this, cuz it will really have to be butchered up and FUGLY.

Buy a silvia or something, i don't know Nissans, but go away with your devilish talk of chopping up my babies.

 

there are fwd sr20's but its still a hopeless cause.

i wouldnt even try to put an h22 in there, never mind a sr20

Well, I think he was going for rear wheel drive, because then whats the point? There is a 1984 Honda Prelude shooting Nitrous running 11.27 in 1/4 with the same A20 motor as when it came out of japan. ummm built of course.

h22's in 2nd gens, a lot of suspension/reinforcing work to balance out car that was never meant to see that kind of power or weight though... still easier than rear wheel drive sr20 lol. I think the poster of this topic was just joking, or he just finished watching fast and the furious. In either case, you notta foony!

 

I am actually looking for a 89-92 240SX. The prices are starting to climb now. I think the 240SX is the next Civic....but with RWD.

I had A LOT of fun rebuilding my Prelude. I think I want to do it again, just with a different car.
