Street/AutoX pads for daily driver 90-93 Integra
Hello everyone, I have narrowed it down to 4 different pads so far.
Axxis Ultimates
Hawk HPS
Cobalt GT Sport
Porterfield R4S
I'm probably also going to be changing brake fluid and lines at the same time.
I was just looking for something with more initial bite than my current brakes(all OEM). The car will be driven daily, and autocrossed on Sundays. I would like to know how these pads compare to each other for my specific application. Dust is also an issue, I'd like something easy to clean and I've heard the Axxis ones are the easiest. I searched a bit, but I couldn't find much info about the Cobalts, and nearly no info comparing all 4 of these side by side. Thanks for the help.

i've run the r4s in a 91' civic at hpde and autox. they worked great. i'm currently on the gt sports and have only used them daily driving but they seem to be comparable. call andy at cobalt. he'll help you out.
Axxis Ultimate is awesome, I got it in my HB. The initial bite is almost neck breaking and it operates just as well when the rotors are glowing red.
I've also heard Hawks' HPS+ are also good but I looked into, Hawk's a lot more expensive than Axxis.

I have DA brakes on my CRX and I use Hawk HPS on the fronts with stock pads on the rear for now. The initial change didnt feel that much different, but at the auto-x this weekend, it showed. Brake fade dissapeared compared to 2 weeks prior where the stocks were just giving in. I drive the car on the street daily and they are a fine pad. I plan on trying full HP+ in the future, but for now these are fine.
