Sup fellow H-Ters..
just ran into some trouble... car is overheating , but its not like it overheats all the way and shuts donw.. actually i was driving in heavy traffic couple of days ago and the needle went almost 3/4 of the way... i turned the heater on and the needle dropped and drove home with out any problems... i thought it was low on coolant, but when i checked the coolant.. it was FULL...
now i am wondering whats wrong ? could it be that my car was low on oil ? coz when i chekced it... it was at the lower point... other than that my engine seems fine.. anyone faced such problems ? any help will be appriciated.d..... thankss for any help in advance
i need to get it fixed asap... today it was over half as well.. but then i was almost home so i parked my car... plz help me out guys.. thanks a million

If the oil is on the lowest line than its not low enough to cause overheating....what gas are you using? How long has it been since youve changed the oil and flushed the radiator?Have you done a compression test? Also, check your thermostat. Also, you may want to let the car sit at idle for awhile and wait to hear if the fan kicks on,just to make sure.Overheating can be alot of things,so im just giving you most of the causes for overheating.

So while you're driving, there's so much air blowing thru the radiator that the fan isn't needed.
But when you're stopped in traffic, the gauge will rise some before the fan switches on. That much is normal. Mine goes well above 1/2, but maybe not all the way to 3/4. But the gauges aren't that accurate to begin with.

The needle should NEVER move from the half way point if everything is working properly.
