any1 know the exact weight for a 4th gen battery...and does any1 have pix of lightweight and relocated batterires on their ludes? thanx

Just weighed my stock size Interstate battery... That b1tch was 48 lbs!!! The NRG/Heeltoe one I now have wieghs 11 lbs.

 

5th gen battery weighs in at 40 lbs according to a postal scale. Get a dry cell if you're racing. Beware though you might upset the balance of the car.

Over on Preludeonline.com, a guy weighed his and it was right around 48 lbs. He then went to WalMart and got a little ~$35 battery that weighed right around 20 lb's. I just bought that battery, and DAMN does it weigh a lot less!
