Today my friend Roy (RoysCBR on this board) got hit from the side from a guy who ran a red light. He was air lifted to a hospital a couple towns away. They said he broke his collar bone, was hemoraging, and that his spleen had to be removed. When he arrived his lungs were calapsed from his spleen. They got him breathing on his own and he should make a full recovery. Now guys, he had full gear on and of course a helmet... the only reason I think hes alive. So if you can PLEASE pray for him and also PLEASE ride safely. Ryan

i made a post already in the ITR forum, but hopefully he gets better and the guy who ran the red light learned his lesson whether is be through a lawsuit or a ticket.

 

my prayers are with him. god is with him.

 

This kind of stuff pisses me off. A moron runs a red light now an innocent biker has to pay for his stupidity. I hope that dumb cager spends a good amount of time in jail and pays the biker a LOT of money.

Best wishes to Roy. Sadly, standard leathers wouldn't seem to do much against the initial impact of the accident. Good helmet I suppose. Collapsed lungs suck.

I starting to ride less after my friend was hit by a reckless driver. He nearly lost his foot and now he's sitting home for the rest of the summer. It's crazy out there. Be careful.

He has tubes draining blood out of his stomack, one draining fluid out of his left lung, and needs oxygen to help him breath. Sounds bad, but hes strong and is doing great. I really hope hes going to get better and come back with a large *** settlement. This way he can buy a newer bike and some other new toys to compensate.

Wouldn't that just mean more idiot in trucks? Frankly I'd rather be hit by a civic than a suburban if I had the choice.
