Opinions on these safety mods?
I am building a drag CRX that (we are hoping) will hit 12s by the end of the summer. I know cages etc dont become a requirement until 11s, but I would like something for my personal well being. I am looking at the Autopower roll bar with the harness bar, as well as a harness system, but this is where I get confused. I was hoping to keep the stock seat to keep alittle comfort in the car, as it will still see the street, but I know a 4 point is less than desireable, but the seat wont have the anti-submarine hole for a 5 point. So I was wondering if I could either run the belt over the front of the seat and back under, or maybe cut a hole in the seat, and patch the edges. Any ideas or opinions? TIA.
ya i have a good idea buy a new seat lol and make your own cage its not worth payin for the cage because there crap, dont really work. Build your own and keep in mind triangles are the strongest of em all ,hope that helps

autopower makes nice bolt in products. true, a custom built application would be better, but the Autopower bars are far from crap.

ok picture this at 102.00 mph, snap a tie rod and you spin out into the wall keep in mind that crapy cage is not goin do anything for you but snaps an bend and if your lucky you wont have a 2 1/4" bar through your head. if you want it for looks all means get it but if you want something that will do something for you at the track then get one built
