unfortunately the previous owner of my vehicle decided to paint my center console white...i heard acetone will take the stuff right off??

is this true? what will remove interior painting??

 

haha, i guess you were talking to my friend about that last night...he was asking me if aircraft stripper would eat into plastic....

i guess you can try acetone, or you can try aircraft stripper on a small piece on the inside of a panel to see if it has any reactions....

you can also try that goof off stuff that they sell at home depot...

using these concentrated acids, you probably shouldn't leave it on there too long though.

 

any paint stripper will eat plastic, acetone, or anything else will work very slow, and discolor the plastic.

your only real option is a new console.

 

ive removed white paint from interior pieces before. comes out like crap using acetone. try h auto and pick up a used center console.

Spray paint is oil based 95% of the time, and Goof Off won't do ****...it only works on water based products...
