Default DYI valve cover paint procedure

hey guys...
looking for some advice on painting my valve cover.
1. im assuming that i will need some sort of high temperature paint to begin with?? any idea's on where to get this??
2. can the cover be taken off, painted, and put back on without replacing the gasket??
3. what should i tourqe the bolts to once i put it back on and do they need to be tightend (or untightend) in any certain order??
4. what is the best method of not painted the letters?? i originaly thought about just putting some good paint tape over the letters and cutting it out with a razor blade, but a friend told me to use vasaline?? does that really work??
5. any thing im missing??

if this thread gets a good turnout i will post pictures of the cover once i finish it. thanks guys

heres what to do.. First off, go to your local cheapo supply store... Walmart or some other store such as.. Then, go to the paint section.. Pick up some paint stripper! This stuff works great... Its a spray paint like can... Then, find some high temp paint... should be easy enough.. also your autozones and such will have it if ya cant find anything at walmart or such... Then, you should be good to go...

1.Buy paint
2 Remove valve cover
3. strip paint
4. polish vtec aluminum
5.vaseline vtec
6.paint cover
6.5 rub off vaseline
7replace cover w/ original gasket!(should be fine)
8 hand tigthen bolts.. anymore and you will break them off...

i personally found it easier too just paint the letters and sand them down afterwards.
