Default Replace hood release cable

How hard is it to replace the hood release cable on CRX? The end of mine is broke and it isn't releaseing correctly, I have a donor crx for parts but need to know how hard its going to be to replace it, or if they are fairly cheap, where i would go to get a new one and how much they run if anyone has any idea. Thanks

easy, you'll have to remove the bumper cover and left front inner fender liner.

They are a little tough to replace, but it can be done by anyone. I believe I got one for my 97 civic for $10 from the dealer so it wasn't expensive at all.

The crx one costs over $20, I think close to $30 and comes with the cable, and even the plastic latch inside the car.

ans jacking up the car and putting it on some stands will help as you need to be inside the lt fender a bit

Thanks alot guys, since part is fairly cheap from dealer think I will just buy new, rather then stealing the working one from my beater crx, already have the front of the car apart since I am still doing work on it. Just wondered what I would be getting self into before I attempted it. Thanks again, and keep up great work.
