you dont need one, make sure both surfaces are clean and flush before mounting and you will be fine. you will just end up blowing out the gasket you just purchased again.

there are no illeffects of running one, you will just be replacing them over and over again, they are unncessary

so after the gasket goes, it would be safe for anyone to not run one after that...right?

Oh yea, what are the tell-tell signs that your WG gasket crapped out on you?

probably an exhaust leak right where the WG + flange meet...put your hand there, should be nice and warm haha

just put *nothing* and it will be fine if the 2 surfaces are straight and clean...I always used this method... even between my turbo and my manifold... I just put a lil bit of red hi-temp silicon to prevent rust between the two surfaces !

I'll try that after this next one blows out. I bought the turbo used and gasket was blown. The wastegate was warped so i had that and the manifold decked, then ordered new gasket to put on.

The only reason i noticed it because there was bits of burned gasket hanging out. I already ordered one for 10 dollars. I dunno what i'll try yet. Thanks for the info guys
